Update (02 April 2003):
I received feedback from some users that they see a message: "The screensaver
has expired. Please contact your supplier" after installation. Others have
feedback that the screensaver returns to the desktop abruptly after running for
a while. Honestly, I don't know what is causing the problem but I have re-packaged
the screensaver once again.
I've installed the screensaver on a few machines, each
running a different Windows operating system. At the moment, it runs fine on Win95,
Win98, Win ME and Win Xp (Home Edition). Try downloading the screensaver from
my Tripod.com mirror site as an alternative. If you continue to encounter problems
with my screensaver (or even if it runs fine), please inform me and state which
OS you're using. Your feedback is most valuable to me.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Why am I doing this?
I LOVE the movie and it's a way to keep the BR flame raging in me.
What's this screensaver about?
Essentially, it puts you into the shoes of Kitano and you periodically receive
'updates' on activities within the island via an interface. Eventually, the system
gets 'hacked' and all data is lost and the system 'reboots' (which loops the screensaver).
It's a pretty linear experience (wished I had time to make an interactive one)
but it's a fun way to relive moments from the movie. There's no audio within the
screensaver as I want to keep the file size small.
How long did it take you to do this?
Close to a month. From a simple day-dream to conceptualising it on paper and execution
in Macromedia Flash. The island map, the BR logo and the SlamDunk-esque cartoon
characters are painstakingly traced as vector artwork and imported into Flash.
I must admit along the way, I got distracted by the release of Lord Of The
Rings and Return To Castle Wolfenstein :)
Will there be a Macintosh version
of the screensaver?
I hope so. At present, I do not have a Mac to work with and moreover, I don't
have a Mac screensaver maker program.
