Making of the BATTLE ROYALE retro poster

After the pencil artwork is done, I scanned it into Adobe
Photoshop where I'll do some 'clean-up'. Making use of LAYERS in Photoshop, I
placed the artwork on the top most layer and set its layer blending option from
NORMAL to MULTIPLY. What it does is make all the white areas transparent. This
allows me to begin my process of 'under-painting'.
All elements (e.g. face, hair, uniform, etc) are placed beneath
the pencil artwork layer and painted in their own layers, allowing me to tweak
them whenever necessary (e.g. hair colour). I rely heavily on Photoshop's airbrush
and paint brush tools. Below is the poster artwork with my pencil artwork layer
turned off:

Here's how it looks with the pencil artwork incorporated:

For the two rows of soldiers lined up in front
of the flood lights, I essentially drew one soldier and multiplied them, varying
scale along the way so they don't look too similar. The basic poster artwork is
ready and I begin to 'process' it.
